Platformer game in the stlye of older DK country games, where you control a pair of characters each with their own moveset.
I found it too punishing. The game is chock full of collectables but trying to get them usually means dying multiple times and having to repeat the same senction due to the lack of enough checkpoints. Doesn't help that each time you respawn, you are left with only one controllable character and you have to regain the other one.
Coming-of-Age Trans book read as part of a bookclub I'm in.
Mostly good, though I don't understand how is it so beloved. I feel like part of it is that the famous "trans" books of the 2000s (Nevada etc) came out like 15 years ago and weren't as famous in spanish.
Short Hacking/puzzle game made by Blendo Games.
A bit of a hit and miss. The game can be divided in 3 stages: The initial one where you learn hacking, the second where you play a series of levels controlling multiple characters and the third where you go back to hacking as a single character.
The first one is exciting but way clunkier than it should be, and has poor pacing. The second one is the best in the game, presenting a few really good setpieces that are mechanically bland (really, you barely have to think in these levels). The third one combines the previous two stages and reaches a sort of climax, it's fun, even if by then you can tell the game is dragging.
It's interesting as a predecessor to Skin Deep. There are some mechanics there that the game pulled straight up from here. I can't help but think the more Blendo strayed from narrative to focus on mechanics, the worse his games get, sadly.
